You’re basically paying to heat the outdoors. That’s why we stopped worrying about the air and started focusing on the person. We use shortwave infrared. Instead of warming the room, it hits you directly.
Heat that actually hits
Here is how it works: we’ve got a tungsten filament tucked inside a quartz envelope. When the power kicks in, it gets hot enough to send out shortwave radiation. The best part? It moves at the speed of light. You don’t have to stand around waiting for the room to “warm up.” The moment you step under it, you feel it penetrate your skin. It’s the difference between waiting twenty minutes for a radiator and feeling that instant glow. It turns a freezing locker room into a comfortable spot in a matter of seconds.
Built for the steam
We all know water and electricity are a bad mix. To make sure these things don’t quit on you in a steamy environment, we sealed the chassis to IP65 standards. In plain English: it’s dust-tight and can handle water jets hitting it from any angle. We also used corrosion-resistant alloys for the casing. Salt and humidity love to eat through metal, but these units are built to fight back. Just a heads-up on the power side—keep an eye on your wattage. A big array of heaters puts out a massive amount of heat, but if your wiring isn’t up to the task, you’re just going to trip your breakers.
Getting the placement right
These units are small, so they’re a breeze to mount on a wall or ceiling. But there’s a catch: shortwave IR is directional. It goes where it’s pointed. If you mount them too high, the heat loses its punch before it reaches you. Too low? You might actually overheat whatever is sitting directly under the lamp. It takes a little bit of tweaking to find that sweet spot where the temperature feels just right without creating any uncomfortable hot spots.
