Most bottle annealing lines are a headache to set up. You buy a bunch of individual infrared lamps, spend way too much time wiring them, and then spend even more time squinting at the conveyor trying to get the alignment just right. It’s tedious. We decided to stop selling parts and start selling a solution: curved heating modules that actually work.
Getting the Heat Right
Here’s the thing about annealing: you need the heat to be just right. Too little and the glass stays stressed. Too much and you’ve got a melted mess. Straight lamps are tricky because they create hot spots. But when you use curved quartz glass, the heat actually wraps around the bottle. More energy hits the glass, and less of it just wastes away into the furnace shell. It’s just a smarter way to heat.
Forget the Wiring Nightmare
If you’ve ever spent a shift wiring R7s or SK15 connectors on a loud factory floor, you know the pain. One loose connection and—boom—you’ve got a burnt-out socket. We figured there’s a better way. We put the lamps, the reflectors, and all the wiring into one single chassis. You just drop the module into the furnace and plug it in. Done. Now, a quick heads-up: we use high-wattage shortwave emitters so you can get up to temperature fast. But that puts some pressure on your power supply. If you’re running 400V tubes, just make sure your electrical panels can handle that initial surge when you flip the switch, otherwise, you’ll be tripping breakers all morning.
Less Downtime, Less Stress
When one lamp breaks in a massive array, it usually means the whole zone has to go dark while you fix it. That’s a lot of lost production. With these modules, you don’t fiddle with a single bulb. You just swap out the entire heating block. What used to take hours now takes a few minutes. We handle all the bending and the electrical work at our shop. By the time it hits your floor, it’s a finished piece that fits your machine perfectly. No technicians bending supports or soldering leads on-site. Just a clean swap and you’re back in business.
